The Best Action/Adventure award goes to In Cold Blood, being developed by Revolution Software (the brains behind the Broken Sword games) and scheduled for publication by Ubi Soft.

Although In Cold Blood is in 3D, the same loving care that was so obvious in the graphically breathtaking Broken Sword games is again evident in In Cold Blood's play screens. Charles Cecil of Revolution, who actually demonstrated the game to us himself, described In Cold Blood as "adventure/action," and he was one of the few people we talked to at the show that didn't shy away from telling us that a game had a story. He also said that the player would be well-served to find ways to avoid shooting in order to be successful at the game.

All of us agreed that this game looks wonderful, and we all have put it on our must-play list.
