Here is how the puzzle looks, solved:
Remember, the #-9 piece that goes in the slot-9 is in your
pocket. Solve the other eight first.
In
all of the following descriptions:-
The actual (colored graphical) pieces are referred to as #1-piece, #2-piece, #3-piece, etc.
The (immovable) slots are referred to as slot-1, slot-2, slot-3,
etc.
To do the top row; maneuver the #1-piece into slot-1. Then put
the #2-piece into slot-3, and then the #3-piece
into slot-6. Then move them all (CORRECTLY) into
the top row by opening slot-2, and clicking on slot-3 and then
slot-6.
After that, WITHOUT DISTURBING THE TOP ROW IN ANY
WAY, maneuver the #7-piece into slot-4 and the
#4-piece into slot-5. Then slide those two
pieces into their proper locations by opening slot-7 and clicking
on slot-4 and then slot-5. There are now only 3 pieces left. All
you have to do (if indeed even necessary) is to rotate these last
three pieces into their correct positions.
Finally take the ninth tile out of inventory and finish the
picture.
