Dead City (Freeware adventure game available at: http://nihilis.games.cz/deadcity_eng.html) Walkthrough

Although this neat freeware game is relatively easy to finish, many people seem to have missed some important steps and became stuck. That’s why I decided to write this walkthrough.

Remember: to use the objects/talk to people click them with the left mouse button. You examine objects using the right mouse button. The inventory will appear if you move the mouse pointer to the top edge of the screen.

If you talk to someone, always ask them about everything.

WALKTHROUGH

Examine the mattress, you’ll find the keys. Examine the red graffiti on the wall.

Leave the apartment and go to the Lost Street location. Examine the “WME” billboard, a new location will appear on your map.

Go to the bar a talk to the bartender. Go to the bathroom and talk to the drug dealer. Also, pick up the syringe.

Leave the bar, use your car, and go to the WME shop. Talk to the policeman and examine the pile of junk. You’ll find a piece of wire and a rubber glove.

Return to the Lost Street and talk to Winn Benzzen. Go to the bathroom and use the rubber glove on the toilet bowl. You’ll get a knife.

Go to the WME shop location and ask the policeman about Steep the gravedigger.

Go to the cemetery and talk to the gravedigger.

Return to the bar and talk to Akko.

Leave the bar and go to the bridge location. Examine the dead body. Examine the railing, you’ll get a metal rod.

Return to the bar and tell Akko her friend is dead.

Go to the WME shop location and tell the policeman about the murder. After the policeman leaves, steal a digital camera from the broken window.

Go to the cemetery and use the metal rod to pry the crypt door open. Enter the crypt and use the digital camera to take picture of the gravedigger. Leave the crypt, examine the keys in your inventory, and then use the keys (i.e. the miniature flashlight) on the open grave. You’ll get a small key.

Go to the church. Talk to father Kain, then use the small key on the coin-box. You’ll get a few coins.

Go to the bar and insert the coins into a slot machine. You’ll win some money. Go to the bathroom and give the money to the drug dealer. You’ll get a drug. In your inventory, combine the drug and the syringe. Take the drug.

You feel tired so return to your apartment and use the mattress to have some sleep. You’re in the world of the shadows. Talk to the strange creature.

Go to the Lost Street and give the remaining drug to Winn Benzzen. He’ll unlock the warehouse door for you. Enter the warehouse and examine the panel. Use the knife to remove the cover. Use the knife to clean the wire in your inventory. Use the cleaned wire to replace the burned fuse.

Leave the warehouse, go to the cemetery, and talk to Tess.

Return to your apartment and examine the red graffiti again. You’ll write down a code.

Go back to the warehouse and use your notepad on the keypad. Enter the elevator. Talk to Alex Kain.

Leave the warehouse and go to the church. Talk to father Kain, you’ll get a disk with research notes.

Return to the warehouse and give the disk to Alex.
