Two of a Kind
Walkthrough

This Walk-through is also designed to be a Hint-through. If you carefully scroll down the page and reveal only one new line at a time it will take you through the game as it would normally be played. Gentle hints will be given, followed by more outright solutions. So try not to read ahead unless you are truly stuck.

Two of a Kind is Windows/multitasking friendly, so you can <ALT><TAB> at any time in the game to minimize it. You can then have this walkthrough in another window ready to help.

General Hints

· Be sure to talk to every character with both players, brother and sister. A character may confide something to one which they wouldn't to the other.
· Be sure to talk to all the animals.
· Look At and attempt to Get everything.
· The twins can talk to each other. Ask your sibling what you should do next.
· If you have trouble leaving a screen, walk to the center and try again. If you are already at the exit, the computer can't sense you approaching it.
· When acting as Tim, the FLOAT button will cause you to levitate about a foot off of the ground. It doesn't do a thing for Tiffany.
· Save game before dealing with the occult. Spells can only be cast once.

Introduction

· Either twin can answer the phone.
· Look At everything and have Tiffany Talk to the fish. No need to Get anything, yet.

· Exit the Office and you end up in Museum. Look At everything and Talk To Curator. Nothing to Get.

Store

· Exit the museum and you see the map for the first time. It doesn't matter, but we will go to the Store first.
· Read sign on side of Store. (You don't need to click on it to read it.)
· Enter Store.
· Talk To Mrs. G. Take note of Theme Day and what she has to say about her husband.
· Take note of Peanuts, TV and Device at end of TV wire.
· Get the TV antenna.
· Can't get the antenna? Maybe if something heavy, like a bird, landed on it it would bend over into reach.
· Talk to bird and ask it to sing.
· Ask it to sing again from the antenna.
· Nothing, huh? Maybe if you could JOLT the bird into action it would kick the antenna over.
· What have you seen which would send high voltage through the antenna?
· You must Use the TV for it to work.
· The Bird won't stay up there for long.
· SOLUTION
· Use the Device and set it to High. Have Tim stay by the TV. Have Tiff go outside and talk to bird. As soon as bird sings on antenna, immediately switch to Tim and Use TV. Have Tim Get antenna.
·
· Have Tiff Get a flower.
· Walk To City. This brings the map back. Go to Farm.

Farm

· Have Tim Talk To Farmer Yoker. Note what he says about the growth formula.
· Talk To the cow. Note what scares her and what she does when she gets that scared.
· Talk to dog and note what scares him.
· Walk To the bee farm. Note beehive and what it is full of.
· No, we haven't actually done anything, but it is good to know what to find on the farm.
· Talk To your sibling and ask what you should do next.
· Leave Farm. Note that map now shows the Bar. Go to Bar.

Bar

· Talk to Oracle.
· Enter Bar and have both twins talk to Dr. Love. Note what his “knack” is and what his need is.
· Have either twin Talk To Bouncer.
· You must find the new password.
· Exit Bar. Notice anything different outside?
· Talk To Rat.
· Open Window to free Rat.
· You will need something long, skinny and metallic to pry the Window open.
· If only you were a foot taller...
· SOLUTION
· Have Tim Walk To Rat. FLOAT. Use Antenna on Window. Have Tiff Talk To Rat.
·
· Enter Bar. Have either twin Talk To Bouncer and go up to Oracle.
· Exit Bar. Walk To City. You can now go to the Mansion.

Bovino Mansion - Part 1

· Have Tim Talk To Mr. G.
· Have Tiff Talk To squirrel.
· You need to 1) Get rid of George, 2) Find the 5 digit access code and 3) Get some honey coated nuts for the squirrel.
· Exit Mansion. Go to Bar. Walk down Alley next to Bar.

Alley

· Have Tim Talk To Drunk. Note what he does and what he has.
· Have Tiff Talk To Cat. Watch what he does.

Get Rid of George
· What did Mrs. G. say that George was really good at?
· If only that grass needed mowing. Know of anything that would make grass grow quickly?
· Be sure to let Mrs. G. know when the grass gets high.
· SOLUTION
· Now that Farmer Yoker is off chasing Roger, send Tim to the Farm and Get a bottle of SuperGro Formula. Go to Store. Use Formula on grass next to flowers. Talk to Mrs. G. George is now out of the picture.

Get 5 digit Access Code
· Have Tiff Talk To Dr. Love and ask him about Bovino.
· SOLUTION
· Come on, you're yanking my chain, right? If you couldn't get it from that last clue then you should really consider another genre of game. Or are you just trying to blast through this so you can write a review for PCGamer? OK, the Code is 65000. Now at least try to put a little effort into this.

Get Nuts
· Tim must do this alone.
· Who has nuts for sale?
· What must you do to get a discount worth the value of the nuts?
· Who has the silliest hat in town?
· OK, this was off the wall. Send Tim back to the office alone to make a pair of ear-muffs.
· Get stuff from both desk drawers.
· Bunnies have nice fluffy tails.
· SOLUTION
· Have Tim go to Office. Get scissors from Tim's drawer. Get Head Band from Tiff's drawer. Use scissors on Bunny Slippers. Use tails on head band. Use ear-muffs on Drunk and he gives you hat. Go To Store. Enter Store. Use Hat on Tim. Talk to Mrs. G. Get nuts.

Get Honey
· Where does honey come from?
· What might lure bees away from their hive?
· Who could make a flower absolutely irresistible?
· Dr. Love needs to vent. Can you think of something he would love to smash?
· What one man hates another man loves.
· The bees must be lured completely off the screen before Tim will feel safe enough to get the honey.
· SOLUTION
· Send Tiff alone to Office. Get Kiss CD. Use CD on Dr. Love. Use Flower on Dr. Love. Send both twins to Bee Farm. Have Tiff Use Flower on Bees. Send Tiff alone to fruit stand. Note how nervous cow gets. Have Tim Get Beehive. Send Tiff back to Bee Farm (Bees are now free of Flower power.) Send both twins to Fruit Stand. Have Tim Use Honeycomb on Nuts. Give Honey Nuts to Tiff.

Bovino Mansion - Part 2

· Save game here, just in case.
· You now have everything you need to open the gate. Just think and do it in the right order.
· SOLUTION
· OK, just for the sake of completeness I will spell it out for you. Have Tiff Use Nuts on Squirrel. Have Tim FLOAT. Have Tim Use Keypad while floating. Enter access code 65000. Security is off any you can now enter the mansion.
·
· Do all the following as Tim:
· Go to room on second floor.
· Use Papers.
· Get Inkwell
· Open closet and get shoe(lace).
· Exit and Open door on lower floor of Mansion (Kitchen)
· Open door on far side of Kitchen.
· Use Book. Take note of what you need.
· Return to Kitchen.
· FLOAT and Open cabinets above and left of sink. Get Acid and three bowls.

Bronze Bowl
· The Bronze Bowl needs a Black Candle placed in it.
· Can't find a Black Candle? Make one.
· The three basic ingredients for a candle are: wax, wick and coloring.
· SOLUTION
· Yeah, I know, if you need it spelled out for you than you probably don't belong here. Anyway, Use Inkwell on Wax. Use Shoelace on Wax. Use candle on Bronze Bowl.

Silver Bowl
· The Silver Bowl must be filled with Wine.
· Who do you know who can make all the wine you need?
· What does he make wine from?
· You are still in the Kitchen, aren't you?
· SOLUTION
· Use Silver Bowl on Sink. Go to Drunk in Alley. Use Silver Bowl on Drunk.

Gold Bowl
· The Gold bowl needs milk.
· Where does milk come from?
· What happened that made the cow almost spill her milk?
· SOLUTION
· Send both twins to farm. Have Tim Use Gold Bowl on Cow. Send Tiff to Bee Farm. Use Flower on Bees. Send Tiff back. Have Tiff Walk To Cow. How embarrassing. Have Tiff return the Bees.

Cave

· Have Tim Use Acid on Water pistol. You'll be glad you did.
· Remember what the Journal said? Only the Teleport spell will get you there.
· Send both twins to basement.
· Save the game here. You will only get one chance to cast the spell.
· Use all three bowls on the circle. Tim will put them in the right places automatically. He should confirm that he did it right.
· Have Tim Walk To the Circle. He should now be standing in it.
· Have Tiff Use the Book. DO NOT have FOLLOW turned on. You want Tim to stay put in the Circle.
· Have Tiff Use Magic Words. If all went well, Tim should go for a ride.
· Have Tim Use Water pistol on Crocodile. Pray that PETA never finds out what you did.
· Have Tim Open Heavy Door. Needs help huh?
· Open Stone Door. Exit. Ah Hah! Turn on FOLLOW and help arrives. Re-Enter cave.
· Save game here as the end game is timed.
· Talk to Tiff and ask her to help open the door.
· Tell me again what happens to someone in a Teleport spell when the circle isn't “grounded?”
· If only we could get a circle-with-triangle on that demon.
· Hmm, Tiff has a sticker with a circle, if only we could blot out the smiley face.
· Now if only we had a triangle in the circle.
· The sticker must be on the demon.
· Who can “walk” without making a sound?
· SOLUTION
· Use yellow crayon on Sticker. Use Red Crayon on Sticker. Use Sticker on Tim. Switch to Tim. FLOAT. Use sticker on Demon. Ouch. Have Tiff Use book. Use Magic Words. Enjoy the ending, I dare you!
