Jack Keane

Jack is a real adventurer. And like all good adventurers he feels most at home outdoors – from dense humid jungles, across unexplored searing deserts, to endless ice fields, Jack will go anywhere there are dangers to be braved. Although not a seeker of fame, he still enjoys attending High Society gatherings where he can hold court and relay tales of his latest daring escapades.

More than a little brash, Jack has seen a lot of the world and has developed an excellent understanding of human nature. He still seems to have his problems with the ladies however, exemplified by the fact that when he runs in to Amanda she is a complete mystery to him.

Jack often uses his approach of naïve aggression to tear down the veils of self-deception of those around him. And yet, he isn’t always the hero he considers himself to be. He is unafraid to press ahead in most situations, but when he realizes that he is in a difficult or vulnerable position, however unexpected that may be, he can be quick to put his own safety first.

Amanda

This young, feisty American knows exactly what she wants and is unafraid to take it too, regardless of the consequences. A large streak of impulsiveness runs through her also, typified by her leaving her home and family in pursuit of high adventure in the Indian Ocean.

If she is in any one place for more than a few days she begins to get restless and has to move on. Her thirst for adventure is even larger than Jack’s, and for that reason alone she often finds herself in trouble.

Amanda loves anything which looks like fun, especially the kind of fun associated with explosives! When evil Doctor T. started looking for a nefarious assistant, she didn’t have to be asked twice.

Doctor T.

Warning – this man takes no prisoners! Unless, of course, it is just long enough to leave them to a certain death in one of his hellish devices. Doctor T. has set his sights on nothing less than the conquest of the entire British Empire, and his plans are dangerous indeed. He hates all of humanity, mainly due to the fact that he sees himself as the only worthwhile example the species has ever produced!

Did someone say ‘superiority complex’?!!! A brilliant scientist, his only true joy lies in flora and fauna. Thrown out of the famous London Royal Society and sent to serve as Governor on a remote island in the Indian Ocean, the gifted researcher soon found his own allies in the form of carnivorous plants and an army of trained apes. With their help he is intent on destroying all of the British Empire’s tea plantations.
