Leipzig/Germany: August 22, 2008. German publisher and developer Daedalic Entertainment has released new screenshots for titles presented at Games Convention 2008 in Leipzig, Germany. The new assets include shots of upcoming PC adventure games The Whispered World and A New Beginning, as well as first looks at Nintendo DS ports of Edna & Harvey: The Breakout and The Whispered World, which debuted at GC 2008. Gorgeous adventure game The Whispered World whisks the player away to a fascinating fantasy world. Young clown Sadwick and his sidekick Spot set out on a perilous journey in classic point & click tradition. Hand-painted backgrounds filled with animated details and lovingly crafted characters in the style of classic animated bring the epic fairy-tale story to life. The Whispered World is in development for PC and Nintendo DS. A New Beginning is a gripping, interactive eco-thriller that tasks players with averting a global climate cataclysm. The ambitious adventure game is in development for PC, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. Edna & Harvey: The Breakout is a point & click adventure game in the vein of the genre’s classics. Edna wakes up in an insane asylum with no memory of her past and only one clear objective: Escape! After all, she feels entirely sane – and her speaking stuffed toy bunny Harvey wholeheartedly agrees. The insane adventure features unique cartoon graphics, tons of puzzles and characters ranging from odd to genuinely crazy – twisted humor guaranteed! Edna & Harvey are heading for PC and Nintendo DS. Daedalic presents their lineup at GC 2008 in the Business Center, hall 2 at booth F10.
