"What Adventure Games (and Gamers) Need" I'd just like to say
that I was infuriated by this article. I have a friend that's a huge action game
fan, and had never even touched, let alone played, an adventure game in his life.
I let him borrow Grim Fandango and Gabriel Knight 2, and he loved
them both. Neither one of them had gratuitous use of breasts/guns, and he still
enjoyed them. My point? Gabe doesn't need to get past the doorman by pulling a
gun. Wouldn't people notice that? Grace doesn't need to seduce a man, she's above
that. Neither me, nor any of friends would benefit from raunchier or more
beefed up games, and adventure games wouldn't either. Thank you for your time. William

read your article about adventure games. And I do agree with you about the cuckoo
puzzle in GK2: It is really, a dishonesty! But I didn't agree with you
about the things you say about the game: 1-You want something different
from the real life(You don't wanna play yourself every night)--you're right, but
I think that there has to be games for all options. And I think Sierra betrayed
the adventure gamers with its KQVIII: It looks more like Tomb Raider
than KQ series! 2-You suggest to spice up the games--but why
do that when it's not necessery? We don't want unfounded violence or sex in game.We
want them, but when they are needed, when they have anything to do with the story.
And story is a great thing that most of the action and violent games doesn't have!
Why not think and think rather than shoot and shoot to kill? Sincerely Caio
