Subject: Thanks from a newbie to Adventure gaming
Dear JA Staff,
I've been an RPG and strategy fan since I got my first computer in
1991. I avoided adventure games like Jerry Sienfeld avoided Newman.
Then for some strange reason 2 years ago I bought The Longest Journey
(in the European packaging) by mistake. WHY OH WHY DID I NEVER PLAY
ADVENTURE GAMES! Like a drug addict I needed more and more and fast!
I decided to buy Myst (cause every said it was a classic) Big mistake!
No story, just infuriating puzzles! I almost gave up on adventure
games. I needed a story.
I didn't want to waste my money on impossible games with no story
so I looked for guidance. That's when I found JA. The detailed reviews
you and your staff provide have led in the right direction to find
games I will enjoy. I've bought more than 2 dozen games over the past
year based on reviews your site has provided and haven't been disappointed
yet!
Keep up the excellent work. And by the way, I agree that Duckman is
one of the funniest games ever! Don't get too mad when I tell you
I paid $1.50 for it at a garage sale.
