The Just Adventure Grading System

A - One of the best games available. To qualify for a grade of ‘A’ a game must either set a new standard of excellence or it must nail the existing standard. This is a game that should be on the shelf of every adventure gamer. You should pay retail for this game, buy the T-Shirt and encourage friends to buy it as well. Many of these games are in our Hall of Fame.

B - A superior game. While lacking either the innovation or perfection required for a grade of ‘A’, a ‘B’ game is professionally produced, enjoyable and leave you wanting more. You should pay retail for this game to encourage similar efforts. Anyone who enjoys Adventure Games should enjoy a "B" game.

C - A good game, but has significant flaws. It will leave you with a feeling of time wasted. A true fan who must have an adventure game to play will be able to get their fix from this while waiting for a better game to come along. Get this game from the discount bin. The store should be encouraged that it won't lose money on adventure games, but the developer should not be encouraged to repeat the same.

D - This game is bad and often looks as though it was produced as a high school project. It is obvious that it was never beta tested. Even a diehard adventure fan won't want to finish this turkey. If you are a collector who just wants to own every game ever written, then get this at a yard sale or flea market. In no way should any money get back to the guilty parties as it may encourage them to develop another game.

F - This game is so unplayable that it has crossed the line from garbage back to entertainment. This is a game to laugh at and create your own MST3K episode. These are the games that litter our Dungeon of Shame. They are a guilty pleasure.

'+' and '-' – Hey, we weren’t sure what they meant in high school and we still don’t know what they mean!
