10 QUESTIONS FOR THE PHOENIX
Interview Conducted by James Saighman
As many of you are now aware from the missing posters plastered across
your communities, The Phoenix is the psychotic serial killer behind
the disappearance of agents Jack Lorski and Karen Gijman.
Now the star of his own
game – Missing:
Since January
- from The
Adventure Company, The
Phoenix agreed to this exclusive interview on the condition that
his true identity remain anonymous.
As my nerves were still
rattled from a previous interview with Jack the Ripper,
we imposed upon JA freelancer James Saighman who agreed - almost
too gleefully I might add – to meet in private with The Phoenix.
- JA - Serial killing has become quite a competitive
field lately. You're up against Hannibal Lecter, Jack the Ripper
and the Torso
Killer just to name a few. How do you feel that you stack up
against these better-known serial killers?
Better-known? Pride and ego are for the weak. Fame is useless if
it doesn’t serve a superior cause. My Great Work serves Justice
and leads the chosen ones to the Light. This cannot be achieved
out of madness. It must be done with a pure heart.
- JA - In the course of your killing spree, you have had to travel
all over Europe. How has today's tighter airport security affected
the life of a jet-set serial killer?
The Phoenix doesn’t
belong to any place or to any time. Moving through time and space,
avoiding evil forces and defeating the guilty
ones: that is the way of the Phoenix. The Phoenix shall rise from
the Ashes, despite whatever efforts you make to stop him.
- JA
- You've shown yourself to be extremely well-read on history,
religion,
philosophy,
occultism and esoterica. But what
do you read for fun? Is there any fiction that you particularly
enjoy?
Time for joy is long gone.
Time for redemption has come. I’ve
risen to dismiss the darkness and lead you to the Light. It is still
time for you to realize you might have taken the wrong path and expiate
your sins…
- JA -
If you could invite any three people, living or dead, to a dinner
party, who would you invite? And would they survive the gathering?
I shall not pronounce their names because your ears are not pure
enough to hear them. All three found the Light, each in his way.
One found the Fountain, the other found the Book. The last one found
the Hand.
- JA -
Judging from your CD, you are a big fan of some of the classic
arcade games. Which are/were your favorites?
The Phoenix never dies and can spread his wings even for a centuri.
Note from the interviewer:
the Phoenix insisted for us not to correct “centuri” that
seemed to be misspelled. Although we don’t know exactly why,
we’re sure there’s something behind it…
- JA -
Let's assume that you eventually succeed in killing all the heretics
and hypocrites. What second career might you pursue?
My mission will end when
darkness is dismissed. I have been a servant of Justice and will
always be…
- JA -
Are there any contemporary bands or musicians you like? Or are
you strictly a classical music fan?
What does “classic” or “modern” mean
for the ones who never die?
- JA -
Several of your critics have pointed out that you appear to have
modeled
your CD after the films Se7en, The Blair Witch
Project and The Ring. Have you seen these films? Did you enjoy them?
Sinners shall be chastised.
Peeping Toms shall be punished.
Innocent shall be revenged.
-
JA - Why did you choose "Phoenix" as your nom de arte?
And why did you misspell it on your website?
“I have the power
to lay down my life, and I have the power to take it again.”
(John 10:18).
“Do not judge, what
looks bad may be good.”
(Matt. 5:44,45, Rom. 14:13,14)
Hmmm…well, it seems that James Saighman and The Phoenix have
both vanished before we received the tenth question and its response.
We’ve not heard from James for quite a while now, but as soon
as we do we’ll conclude this interview.
