Helpful Roleplaying Tips:

- You're assuming the role of an imaginary character in an evolving storyline. Be sure to keep the persona of the character separate from the persona of the individual sitting at the keyboard.

- Don't use information learned out of character for in-character purposes.

- Read room descriptions for possible ideas to incorporate into your character's poses.

- Try to be mindful of pose order in situations where it's feasible to do so. Don't throw one-line poses in rapid-fire fashion - give other people a chance to join the fun.

- If you choose to play an alien, be more than just a human in a monster costume. Incorporate characteristics of those alien races into your character's presentation.

- Accept that your actions will have consequences.

- Don't powergame in your poses or descriptions. This means, basically, that you shouldn't force outcomes or actions on other people. Don't tell us what we think and feel when we look at you. Don't assume that if you try to hit someone that you succeed.

- Text-based interactive roleplaying games are primarily focused on interaction between players, with some coded features to enhance the experience. Seek out other players. It's incumbent upon you to involve yourself in the storylines.
